Prayer Request
Heed The Warning!!!

Come To Me

All who labor through the night
Ad toil through the day
For those who struggle with the fight
And tremble as they pray

All the weak and weighted down
And everyone who sighs
Children with an aching frown
With tear drops in their eyes

All who wither from their pain
And sorrow in their fear
The ones who live with empty gain
And have no hope to care

All who sink into their sin
And falter on their knees
The feeble hearted deep within
Who wallow in their pleas

All the broken and the torn
The hearts that seek to live
The wanton souls that writhe and mourn
I'll love you and forgive

5) Pray for Jay Neuharth. He had the surgery on a ruptured disc in his back and is healing very slowly. One of his legs isn't responding well and is partially numb. He fainted recently and the doctors are not sure why. They postponed their return to Kyrgyzstan for several weeks but have now gone back.

Pray also for Rachel Johanesen, a young lady who will be going to Bishkek with them to begin teaching math to 9 and 10th graders at Hope Academy. Please ask God for a good transition for her and for the whole Neuharth family.

Jay writes, "Please pray for Clear Creek Community Church, our home here in Portland. They have been through a difficult time, over the past year or two. Pray for the church and the elders. This last weekend here we'll be at a church camp out. I'll be leading a time of sharing on Sunday morning -- may God work in us."

6) Bill and Julisa Rowe, who do and teach ethnodrama ask for prayer for the following items:

  1. Continued opportunities to share with individuals and churches about our ministry and for increased support to result. (We still need to raise another $1000/month and $6000 outgoing before we can leave for Kenya).
  2. Pray that we will be able to set our plans to leave for Kenya this fall as originally planned.
  3. Pray that someone will buy our RV soon! It has been a wonderful ministry tool, but we need to sell it to replace the funds used initially and we can't take it to Kenya with us! This is a bad time to sell something like that, but God can work "out of season"!
  4. Pray for Kendall as he starts kindergarten. We may have to transfer him mid-term when we leave for Kenya, but he needs to at least start here. Many changes for him. He's excited, but it's still a stressful time, as we continue to pack and look ahead.
  5. Pray that we can use our time wisely between packing, deputation, caring for the boys and planning for the future work.

7) Peter and Debbie Dodd write (from Portland -- they're home on furlough til June 2006) "Thanks for your prayers for us in this time of transition. Please pray for us.

  1. Please pray that Elizabeth and Sarah will make the transition well into second and first grades. This is the first time they have gone to school in English. After a week, they seem to be loving it.
  2. Pray for our ministry to churches and individuals this fall. Pray that we can help them see what God is doing in the world and how they can be involved.
  3. Pray for our own transition to life in America. . Pray that we will find good places for us to consistently minister and be ministered to.
  4. Praise God with us that the Tzetong Church chose a pastor within a month of when we left. Pray for effective ministry and a good relationship between them.
  5. Debbie is returning to Taiwan twice to get her immunodeficiency infusions. It's significantly cheaper to get those treatments in Taiwan than in the US. She'll be teaching a class at the seminary while there too. She'll be returning twice in the spring as well. Pray for those long trips back to Taiwan, the first one here in just a few weeks."

8) Joan in Israel is still in the hospital. The doctors have looked in all those places we don't want them to look and still have found nothing. Meanwhile, Joan has led her roommate to the Lord (a Jewish girl) and has invited 3 doctors to dinner. Keep praying!

Heed The Warning!!!

As a visiting preacher, D.L. Moody was warned that some of the congregation usually left before the end of the sermon. When he rose to begin his sermon, he announced, "I am going to speak to two classes of people this morning; first to the "sinners", then to the "saints". He proceeded to address the "sinners" for awhile, and then said they could leave. For once, every member of the congregation stayed to the end of the service.

God's Word!

For you shall go out with joy

and be led forth with peace:
the mountains and the hills
shall break forth before you in singing,
and all the trees of the field
shall clap their hands

instead of the thorn

shall come up the fir tree,
and instead of the brier
shall come up the myrtle tree; and it shall be to
the Lord for a name, for an
everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.
Isaiah 55:12-13

5) Joan is home from 13 days in the hospital. Here is her report: "The final conclusion is that this is all related to the colon inflammation which has plagued me since I was 18. Inflammation was also found on the lungs (very slight). Common bacteria found in the stool (not Thailand related). So lots of antibiotics and heavy dose of steroids. No temp since Wednesday which is why I was released. Doctors won't say "for sure" that the temp and colon were related or why the fever peaked the way it did. They just said, "Our written diagnosis was UC" (ulcerative colitis) End of that discussion." She is on a diet and bedrest. Pray for success.
